i looked around me and tried to see
i strained to listen but couldn't hear anything
i wanted to open my mouth and speak
no words came out
beating so fast, my heart is about to break
i was surrounded by fear
mocked by the shadows around me
i closed my eyes
i surrendered to what i do not know
hoping that everything is a dream
my heart beats faster
until i couldn't feel it anymore
